Lets look in the Float Bowl Here is a prime example of what the Fitch can do for you. We see so many vehicles that have problems in the spring, after sitting around all winter. Hard to start….won’t idle…but runs ok when I get the rpm’s up. Sound familiar? I’m sure it does.
We are all guilty of having “great intentions” but when it comes to actually draining that float bowl and, or adding fuel stabilisers it often never gets done. We all end up dealing with it in the end sooner or later.
This week I took a carb off a bike, my own personal ride, that has had the Fitch Fuel Catalyst in the tank since 1999. This bike “NEVER” had the fuel drained out, “NEVER” had fuel stabilisers put in it. It was just parked and left every winter. Since the bike was being sold I decided to take the carb off and check it for my own curiosity. Below are the actual pictures of when it was removed.

As you can see it looks brand new!! There is no crud in the bowl or the jets. Absolutely no bacterial growth at all. Just as a point of fact the gas was drained out of this same bike, after sitting all winter, over a year ago when we went to do a dyno test at Toad Cycle Works. The drained out, old regular gas made our test bike gain 4.1 horsepower more than the fresh High Test fuel that we did the initial dyno runs with. The dyno info is here for those of you who are interested.
If you want to eliminate those headaches at the beginning of what ever season your vehicle is used for, summer or winter,…..get the Fitch Fuel Catalyst!!!!

I have been using the Fitch Fuel Catalyst since early January 2002 and to date and I am very please with the results.
My bike is a Harley Ultra Classic weighing in at 370 kgs. The motor is modified with a cam, Mikuni 42mm Carb., Hyper-charger air filter. Vans and Hynes two in to one high performance exhaust system. Screaming Eagle ignition etc., which adds up to high fuel consumption.
The very worst consumption since using the fuel catalyst was 210 km /17 litres ( high speed motorway) up to 296 km /17 litres on a club run in the Southern Highlands. Average would be about 250 km to reserve.
Before it use to range between 169 to 235 km /17 litres average around 200 km to reserve, which made it difficult reaching fuel stops on country rides.
I have also noticed an increase in torque from the motor which is contributing to the improvement in fuel consumption.
I was very concerned with the high fuel usage and was considering putting the bike back to standard, but the catalyst has given me sufficient fuel economy, while still maintaining the high engine performance needed when you ride a Harley.

As the weekly motorcycle columnist for Sydney’s Daily Telegraph and a well known lobbyist for the motorcycle community I was intrigued to receive last July the Fitch® Fuel Catalyst and to read the claims of improved fuel economy and power made by the manufacturers.
As I explained to you on the phone I was initially skeptical of this product. Over the years there have been many products claiming to improve fuel economy, and frankly I did not want to be in the position of supporting a product that couldn’t deliver.
I am sorry that it took so long but that is why I decided to check the Fitch® out on a range of my normal riding conditions so that I could see if there was any benefit, let alone the benefits claimed in your promotional literature that I had received.
I must admit that I was mildly surprised when I started noticing a slight economy benefit within the initial 1,000 km ‘run in’ period. Most of my riding up to this point was in taxing inner Sydney traffic. My Springer Softail was not at it’s best in these conditions and so it was hard to know if there was a significant result.
Next, I took it on a long haul to Melbourne and back. With a screen fitted I did not expect a great result. To my surprise, even with the extra wind drag that a screen produces, I was able to complete the journey with one less fuel stop. By that I mean I was able to get an extra 30-40 kms per tank and that was enough to eliminate a need for a final stop just out of Melbourne.
The same result occurred on the return trip to Sydney. Still I had doubts. It was hard to know if there was any of the claimed power benefit as the Hume Hwy was not a difficult ride.
So next I decided to remove the screen and head over the Blue Mountains. The result was immediately obvious. Going up the grade towards Glenbrook on the M4 there was a noticeable improvement in power. In fact it was so significant that I found I could stay in top gear easily.
Previously I found that at Freeway speed I needed to drop to fourth gear on that incline and since my Harley just powers up in top gear. Again an impressive result!
Around Sydney instead of a standard 240kms, I was now getting an extra 45 kms per tank However, I still I wanted to be certain of the overall benefits and I determined to see just how far a tank would take me out of the city. Usually I would get nearly 260 kms on a country trip. Now with the Fitch® I thought a final test would be to go through the Blue Mountains to Bathurst and back as far as I could.
I prepared for this day trip by filling the tank up with unleaded petrol the night before. Sitting overnight may well have contributed to the excellent result that occurred the next day. Normally on a full tank I would expect to get from Merrylands in Sydney’s West to Bathurst and back to the Mountains.
However the ‘Fitch®’ kept me going to within 20 kms of home, a total distance of 349 kilometres. I was able to get home on reserve and I did it without a refueling stop. It was amazing!
I mentioned this result to fellow members of Brotherhood CMC and they were skeptical, just as I was last year. One of them rang a local oil company who essentially told him, that while the ‘Fitch®’ wouldn’t do any harm, it couldn’t possibly do any good.
Clearly, that advice has proved wrong, at least in my case. I then gave two of my clubmates a ‘Fitch®’ to test it themselves. One has a 1972 Shovelhead Harley Davidson that runs on leaded fuel and the other a modern Triumph Thunderbird, Both have since noted the same initial improvement in fuel economy as I did.
The Fitch® Fuel Catalyst is certainly an impressive product. The extra 90kms I gained on my trip to Bathurst and return was astonishing, as was the increased power going through the Blue Mountains.
As a result I can only conclude that this product actually works and I have no hesitation in recommending it to other motorcyclists.
Sincerely
Greg Hirst

I have had a Fitch Fuel Catalyst in my new XJ900S Yamaha for a number of months now. I immediately noticed extra power and cleaner exhaust emissions, plus a saving at the Petrol Bowser. During the run in period I was averaging prior to the Fitch, 275 kms to the 19.5 main tank. After installing the Fitch my average fuel consumption went to 305 kms. A number of my Ulysses Club mates are now reaping the benefits of the Fitch Fuel Catalyst. Any engine be it a car, boat bike or lawn mower will benefit from this simple device, and with the cost of petrol these days any saving is a bonus.

We have fitted a number of Fitch Fuel Catalyst to customers bikes having problems with detonation due to high compression pistons and lack of decent fuel. All have since indicated they have no problems even when using regular unleaded fuel. The owners own bike has been using a Fitch for over 10,000 kms and after stripping the motor down for a performance upgrade found no abnormal wear or deposits. We recommend using the Fitch Fuel Catalyst to our customers

“The increase of power was unmistakable, the Fitch® Fuel Catalyst gave me the extra power off the start line and out of the turns instantly, something I have been searching for in the past. After spending 10 years as a professional speedway rider in England and Europe I have not seen anything so easy to gain horsepower in my career.”
